Verizon Wireless launched a global version of its VZ Navigator service, providing travelers the ability to find locations and access turn-by-turn directions in North America and Western Europe, including Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. VZ Navigator Global customers can choose either English or Spanish as the default language, and miles or kilometers to mark distances.
VZ Navigator Global is available for $19.99 per month and will be initially available on the BlackBerry Storm 9530 smartphone
While Palm Pre CDMA is available soon by May or June, a new Palm WebOS is leaked, which will be released for AT&T network in US. Unlike the Palm Pre, the GSM Palm EOS is like the traditional Treo design. It has a QWERTY keyboard below the touch screen but is much slimmer than the Treo smartphone series. According to the source from Engadget, the Palm EOS has a codename Castlen and is actually the successor of the Palm Centro.

A few T-Mobile G1 users from Android Community forum has reported to have received the latest cupcake updates from T-Mobile UK. The over-the-air updates is about 44MB in filesize and will updates the Android to version 1.5. There are also many others in UK did not receive the updates notifications yet but should be getting it by end May.
The new Android 1.5 is adding a soft QWERTY keyboard to allow text input via the touch screen. It will also add the ability to upload photo / video directly to Picasa and YouTube from the G1.
