LG has launched a new GW550 smartphone that is specially built for business users with its Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. The phone supports Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and 7.2Mbps HSDPA/2Mbps HSUPA connectivity, QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 3MP camera, and stereo speakers.

Huawei has introduced two new handset during CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore in the form of the U8230 and C8000. Philips will launch the C600 and W186 later this week. The Philips C600 is a dual-mode cell phone that works on Tri-band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), and on CDMA 800 MHz.
