Here’s a look at another upcoming Windows XP phone from a Chinese handset maker iTG. Dubbed as the xpPhone, this smartphone boasts a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen display, an AMD Super Mobile CPU, a 512MB/1GB RAM, an optional 8GB SSD or 120GB HDD, a 1.3MP camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows XP OS and supports both GSM and CDMA connectivity. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet.

The iNo CP09 is a new GSM cell phone for kids and elderly that features only a basic calculator-like screen with a large font display, large buttons, an FM radio, a torch light, a headphone jack, and a text messaging. There is also a SOS button that is useful in an emergency situation. The phone can send a text alarm to a configured number and calls that number. The iNo Mobile is available exclusively in Singapore at $78 each.

Sony Ericsson has recently released a video that shows more details about the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. The X10 was originally known by its prototype name of Rachel or the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3. The smartphone supports a 4-inch touchscreen capacitive display with WVGA (800×480) resolution, an 8-megapixel camera with Autofocus, LED flash, image stabilizers, smile and face detection, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g. Together with the upcoming Android 2.0 Eclair, Verizon Wireless Droid by Motorola will become the first Android 2.0 smartphone that will be available in US from November 6th. The Motorola Droid comes with a 5 megapixel camera, dual flash LED, WiFi, GPS and 3.7-inch capacitive touch screen with 16millions colors. The “Droid” will eventually get expanded with more Android smartphones for Verizon Wireless, which could be the Droid Eris from HTC.

Tele Atlas and Samsung have announced an agreement under which Samsung will use Tele Atlas maps for its GPS-enabled devices. Samsung will be able to bundle Tele Atlas’ product with its smartphone with more than 24 million points of interest (POIs), Voice Maps, and visual enhancements such as 3D Landmarks, 2D City Maps and Digital Elevation Models.
The two companies will continue to collaborate to deliver rich navigation and location solutions, covering a wide range of products and regions.

Nokia will released their first TD-SCDMA cell phone for China Mobile in December 2009. Dubbed as the Nokia 6788, the handset was inspired by traditional Chinese furniture and architecture. It comes with Chinese design elements that comprise of traditional Chinese patterns on the back of the slide and the battery cover. The Nokia 6788 uses Symbian’s Series 60 OS and supports a 2.8 inch display (QVGA), a 5MP camera with Autofocus and a microSD expansion. Stay tuned for more updates.

Verizon has recently confirmed the availability of its new Motorola Droid. The Google Android 2.0-powered phone will be released on November 6th, 2009 for $199 with a new two-year customer agreement after a $100 mail-in rebate.
