Motorola has finally unveiled specifications on the Motorola Droid smartphone. Measuring 2.4-inch x 4.6-inch x 0.5-inch and weighing at 6-ounces, the cell phone will feature a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 854, a 5-megapixel camera with 4x zoom, autofocus and a dual LED flash. Additional features include a 550MHz processor, a 16GB microSD card, GPS, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFi and a micro USB port. Its 1400 mAh Li-ion battery will provide up to 385-minutes of talk time or up to 270-hours of standby time. No info on pricing or availability so far.

It better at least be as quick interface wise as the Hero. That looked brutal. That was even laggier than the initial Hero firmware, which people were saying was unusable. Now I expect the current Hero speed or else I won’t touch this with a 10 foot pole. LOL
Does anyone know how to get the Moto Driod to work on another CDMA carrier (Metro PCS). I have several unlocked phones coming direct from Mfr. and want to sell them to Metro PCS customers but when they flashed my phone it just has talk and text. I have a BB that was hacked so it can get MMS, Web, GPS and I NEED THE SAME THING with the Droid!! Unlocked these things are worth paying someone to do the software. Lowest, best bidder wins – but hurry the order will be here in a week!
Thanks in advance.
